iCloud storage is provided by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. Dreamshift uses it through Apple's CloudKit; the data is in your iCloud account, not ours.

The one thing that leaves your private iCloud: handoff notices

When you and a helper take turns and one of you hands off, Dreamshift alerts the other person ("You're on duty"). To do that, it writes a tiny notice to Apple's public CloudKit database for this app. The notice contains only:

No names, no baby data, nothing from your log. Each device deletes its own notices after a day. These notices exist only if you share your log with someone and hand off.

What Dreamshift does not do

Purchases

Dreamshift Family and the 14-day trial are bought through the App Store. Apple handles payment; Dreamshift only learns whether the purchase is active on your device.

Exports you make

If you create a care summary (PDF or CSV) for your pediatrician, Dreamshift makes the file on your device and hands it to the share sheet. Where it goes next (Mail, Messages, Files…) is your choice and is handled by that app.

Notifications and alarms

Reminders and the feed alarm are scheduled on your device by iOS. The "You're on duty" alert is delivered by Apple's push service using the notice described above.

Deleting your data

Children

Dreamshift is for parents and caregivers. It stores information that you enter about your baby; it is not directed at children and does not collect anything from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date, and significant changes will be noted in the app's update notes.
